Synchronization

Teachers and meetings are optional parts of the sync. Two settings control whether the plugin imports them from Eduframe, so your website only holds the data you actually show.

To change either setting, go to Settings -> Eduframe in your WordPress admin panel. Under the General tab you will find the Educator section, which holds the checkboxes 'Sync teachers' and 'Sync meetings'. Check or uncheck them and save your changes.

note

New installations start with both settings disabled. If you upgraded from an older version of the plugin, they may have been switched on for you, so check the current state instead of assuming they are off.

Sync teachers

When enabled, the plugin imports the teachers from Eduframe as Teachers posts and links every planned course variant to the teachers assigned to it. The teachers shortcode needs this data to show a teacher list on your product pages.

When disabled, no teacher data is imported, even if it exists in Eduframe.

This setting also requires the teachers:read scope on your API key. See Installation for the full list of scopes.

note

Enabling this setting makes the sync slower. For every planned course variant, the plugin performs an extra API call to fetch the assigned teachers, which also makes a manual sync more likely to run into rate limiting. Leave it disabled when you do not show teachers on your website.

Sync meetings

When enabled, the plugin imports the meetings from Eduframe as Meetings posts, so you can show the schedule of a planned course on your website.

When disabled, no meeting data is imported, even if it exists in Eduframe.

Disabling a setting

Turning a setting off stops new data from coming in, but the data that was imported earlier stays on your website until the plugin syncs it again. Run a manual sync to clean this up in one go. During that sync, the plugin removes what is no longer included:

  • Teachers are deleted permanently.
  • Meetings are moved to the trash, so you can still recover them.
warning

Anything on your website that relies on this data stops working once it is removed. Before you turn a setting off, make sure you no longer use the teachers shortcode or meeting data in your theme.
